80 paddlers took part in the 2011 Kayakathon and raised over £22,000 for 42 different charities.
On the same day as the London Marathon a 26.2 mile Kayakathon will be held on the river Thames.
The London Kayakathon hopes to build on the success of last years Kayakathon and get even more experienced kayakers on the river Thames. The main aim of the event is to raise money for a variety of charities.
Kayakers paddle from Tower Bridge to Chiswick Bridge and back as a group.
