Phoenix Canoe Club in North London is running a Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) course which will cover all aspects of the award and involves theory and plenty of practical experience – this is a very wet session and entrants will be expected to act as both rescuer and victim.

The course is open to minimum 2 Star paddlers, over the age of 14.

The course costs £30 for young people 14+ and £45 for adult Phoenix Canoe Club members (£45 / £65 to non-members) and the award certificate (optional) is an extra £6 for BCU members and £12 for non-BCU members (or BCU cost at time of award).

The FSRT is a pre-requisite of attendance on a UKCC Level 1 Coach Training course. We have 12 places available on each course and will be on a first come, first served basis.

The full FSRT course syllabus can be viewed here.
