Meridian Canoe club are hosting a series of local league tournaments throughout the summer period (outdoors) and possibly the winter (Indoors) to increase the participation and development of Canoe Polo but also to raise funds towards the 2016 Canoe Polo World Championship in Hyde Park, London bid.

The tournaments will be one-day events on 2 pitches at Danson Park in Bexleyheath Kent. The first date is Sunday 20th May 2012 from 10am -4pm.

Meridian hope to attract teams of all ages and abilities from the South East region and the format of the event will be decided based on the teams that have entered. If there are enough Youth teams for example a separate Youth League will be run.

Meridian is a large Canoe Polo Club but any Meridian teams will be mixed to introduce new players to the sport, his tournament will give us as a club an opportunity to develop polo within the club.

Meridian have a set of plastic revenge Canoe Polo Boats that teams are more than welcome to borrow if transporting boats to the venue is a problem.

If you would be interested in bringing a team(s) to the first local league tournament in May, if you would be interested in entering a team at a later local league tournament, or if you have any queries please get in touch with Meridian on localleague@meridiancanoeclub.com
