FSRT courses teach essential safety and rescue techniques

Phoenix Canoe Club are running a BCU recognised Foundation Safety & Rescue Training course on Sunday 10th June from9.30am to 4pm. The course will cover all aspects of the award and involves theory and plenty of practical experience – this is a very wet session and entrants will be expected to act as both rescuer and patient. The course is open to minimum 2 Star paddlers, over the age of 14. The course costs £65 and the award certificate is an extra £6 for BCU members and £12 for non-BCU members.

The FS&RT is a pre-requisite of attendance on a UKCC Level 1 Coach Training course. They have 12 places available and will be on a first come, first served basis. If there is sufficient demand Phoenix Canoe Club will organise another course later in the summer.

Course providers: Phil Atkinson & Ralph Lee
