With London under coronavirus lockdown, the capital’s kayaking clubs have been coming up with creative ways to entertain and motivate their members.

Regents Canoe Club, a whitewater club usually based on the Regents Canal, came up with a special movie night. The Regents Academy of Film & Television Awards, otherwise known as the RAFTAs.

Club members submitted nearly a dozen films, ranging from the gnarly to the surreal. Members tuned in from their homes, chatted online and voted for their favourite.

One film, created by Steph Shore while obeying #stayathome rules, was the clear winner. This wobbly whitewater kayaking animation depicts all the ups-and-downs of a kayaking trip to a famous Welsh kayaking destination. If you’re a fan of whitewater kayaking or rafting, see if you can guess the location *

Watch and enjoy!
