The Liquid Logistics Open Day on Saturday 12th May 2012 is designed for individuals and clubs to come down and meet the Liquid Logistics Team, find out what courses and trips we offer and try out some new disciplines.
They have got some great workshops going on over the day such as sea kayaking skills, flat water freestyle and first aid scenarios for paddlers.
The Master Builders Hotel in Bucklers Hard have teamed up with Liquid Logistics to put on this great event offering fantastic food and refreshments with beautiful harbour views. Located close to Southampton, it’s a fair way from London but should be a great day out.

There will be loads going on during the day with competitions and information from Liquid Logistics. A local canoe store Woodmill will bring along their fleet of their newest demo boats to test. Enjoy a great range of sessions run by the Liquid Logistics Team to get you out on the water.
Flat Water Freestyle with our Pro Paddler Stuart Watson
Whether you are new to freestyle or struggling to get that third end this is the course for you. This session will cover the ‘How to’ elements of the Dark art of Flat water freestyle. So if you want to learn how to Double Pump, Bow stall or Stern stall, Cartwheel or Loop, this session will help you grasp the skills ready to shred it up on your local play spot!
Sea Kayaking Skills with our Sea Guru Rich Pearsall
Sea kayaking is the best way to explore the beautiful South Coast. This boat handling course will help you get the most out of your paddling with lots of hints and top tips. Feel your confidence growing whether its you first time in a sea kayak or you are an old sea dog!
Canoe and Kayak Safety with Super Safe Sam Sutton
Cover the ‘What ifs’ of canoeing and kayaking. This session will look at saftey equipment, what to carry and how to use it. Whether throwing or towing, this course will give you confidence to deal with common problems. If you have some safety equipment of your own bring it along too.
First Aid Scenarios with Solent Sea Kayaking Duncan Smith
A land based session covering common kayaking injury’s and problem solving. Learn some top tips for carrying out basic first aid and dealing with minor problems both on and off the water.
Canoe Tour of the Beaulieu River with one of our expert River Guides
Take in the sights with family and friends on a short tour of the glorious Beaulieu river. In Open Canoes you’ll spot the wild life and learn the joy of exploring our waterways. Expert river guides will teach you the basics to leave you wanting more.
