Two of the UK’s principle water safety organisers are looking for more safety kayakers for upcoming events. Event Water Safety are currently hiring paddlers for a Speedo Open Water Swim event at Hampton Court on the 15th of July and are paying £50 for five hours work.

You will ideally be a three star kayaker or above, although two star kayakers with Foundation Safety and Rescue Training or a Canoe Safety Test may also apply. For more information contact Chris Gee on

Event Water Safety are the main supplyer of safety kayakers to the popular Human Race events and have over ten events left this season, including the biggest Human Race swim of the year where over 70 safety kayakers will be needed. Details are on the website.

Swim Safety Ltd are also hiring safety kayakers for The London Triathlon, the world’s largest triathlon, which will take place on 22nd & 23rd September 2012 at the Royal Victoria Dock in Docklands. They will be paying £100 for a weekend’s work, although they will require less kayakers on the Saturday. For more information and to find out how to register for the event, email
